What others say about us
The training has become a great help to our school! I know that when we get a new member in our team, who needs a training and introduction to the Montessori materials, thanks to your work, they will obtain priceless information. This complex insight into the topic seemed to me just like a dream for every preschool. BIG THANKS FOR YOUR WORK!
I‘m absolutely enthusiastic! Everything is in one place! As a mother of two children I‘m very grateful for the option to go back to each video as many times as I want. And watching it on my phone when I have a few minutes for myself - thats awesome! I really appreciate the section with the inspiration on how to make didactic materials ourselves at home, because I don't have as much money to buy the originals and I love to create. Thanks a lot, I am so thrilled!
Recently I decided to fulfill my dream and open a children's homeschooling group. I always wanted to implement the Montessori principles in the environment and in the teaching methods. I found amazing co-workers however they had only very basic knowledge of the Montessori method. I couldn't afford to pay for all of them AMI trainings and therefore I searched online. I found Lucie's online course through her store. All three of my teachers are now doing a complete comprehensive online training and so far I am very happy with the results it has brought to our classroom. I also appreciate that the teachers enjoy the training and can do it during their evening hours at home.
I’d like to wish everybody who goes through this course to find a way to understand their child. There are many ways to introduce the didactic materials, which hold a hidden truth and their final understanding to a child. But a true awakening always comes from inside. I believe that this course provides inspiration for discovering, observing and experimenting. Children usually talk to us with their whole body. So, let’s learn to observe them, bring order to their chaotic world and support them in their independence, their will and their desire to explore.
The 6 modules
Our online course consists of 6 modules, based on the curriculum areas of the Montessori classroom. Each module includes a number of video-lessons of varying lengths.

Philosophy
The Montessori approach to education and children isn’t only about didactic materials. It stands on very fundamental concepts which help us to understand what goes on in our children's minds and how to help them in their development.
This module covers the essentials of the Montessori approach, and it will help you understand the whole Montessori concept. It provides the foundation on which the other modules are built.
Practical life
Practical life exercises are a very important foundation for the development of the child. The child observes everything that we do as adults and gains knowledge through real experience of how to accomplish life skills in a purposeful way. These skills, when learnt early in life, enhance children's belief in themselves, give them a sense of being and belonging, and develop self-discipline needed for success throughout their lives.
The practical life activities are usually divided into four areas: caring for the self (getting dressed, undressed, washing up, brushing teeth or hair…), caring for the environment (cleaning, mopping, polishing, care for plants or animals…), movement of objects (pouring, movement activities, art activities…) and grace & courtesy (greeting, apologizing, accepting an apology, offering help…).
Sensorial
The world is a place full of colors, sounds, strange surfaces, tastes and smells. The child is a “sensorial explorer”. Maria Montessori believed that nothing comes into the mind except through the senses and the purpose of sensorial activities is to aid in the development of the senses of the child.
By the time children reach the age of around three, they are not only attracted to sensory stimuli but they are also ready to start sorting and organizing these sensory impressions. Through work with the sensorial materials, children are given keys to classifying things around them. Through this classification, children take the first steps in organizing their intelligence, and further interacting with their environment.
Math
The innovative and educative value of the Montessori method for learning mathematics, alone, is worth the price of a Montessori education. This may sound like an outrageous claim, until you consider how many children from traditional schooling fear maths, are held back in their adult life by an inability to solve every-day mathematical problems (e.g., evaluating whether they can afford a home), and avoid profitable, fulfilling careers in science, technology and engineering because of their fear of numbers.
All children have a mathematical mind, through which they estimate, quantify, classify, sequence and see patterns to make order. Maria Montessori designed concrete materials for children to develop these mathematical skills at different levels primarilly through self-discovery.
Language
As long as children are exposed to some language in their early life, they will almost always learn to speak. From very young age they have the need to communicate and understand. They see and hear people talking around them and very naturally they learn and start to talk too. We can do much to enrich their vocabulary, but we can not make them learn to speak.
But the same can not be said about writing and reading. Writing and reading require instruction and a degree of effort by the child. Writing requires not only the brain to understand how certain letters and sounds come together to make words but also the fine motor skills and coordination to hold a pencil.
Science
Science is all around us and children are natural observers. Maria Montessori recognized the young child’s need to observe and absorb information about the world around them. She believed that experience with real objects should always proceed before learning the names or looking at pictures of things.
The culture and science area of the Montessori classroom covers a variety of subjects. Geography, Science, Botany, Zoology, and History are included. The children become aware of their own bodies, emotions, families, homes, towns, countries where they live, continents, seas and oceans, our solar system, and the evolution of life on this planet.

Who's behind this training
& why we do it
When my children were born, I felt a bit lost. I knew I wanted to have a respectful approach to parenting, embracing their unique potential not only academically, but also emotionally and socially, empowering them to become compassionate and confident. I attended different trainings, read many books and collected as much valuable information as I could.
I have become a very passionate Montessori fan 🙂 and this led me to opening my online shop MontessoriHracky.cz in 2011. Thanks to this experience and frequent and increasing contact with customers, that included thousands of parents and teachers, I found my motivation for this online training. I realized that there are very little opportunities to study Montessori at home, without having to leave the family, while not compromising the quality of the training.
My experience from schools in the poorest parts of our world also set my dream on fire. Giving a chance to a teacher somewhere in a slum in Africa, to get the quality training and completely change the educational standard in her classroom! I wanted to put up a training that would provide videos, where everyone could see the work with the material step by step. And at the same time, I wanted to keep the price affordable. I also wanted to show the students that it is not necessary to buy expensive materials but that very often our creativity and patience is enough.
