Montessori at Home

Practice in Action

Say goodbye to overwhelming theory. Welcome a practical, hands-on approach to incorporate Montessori principles into your daily life and nurture your child’s development.

Many families today are inspired by the Montessori method, choosing not just to send their children to Montessori schools, but also aiming to bring that same nurturing environment into their homes.

You may have spent countless hours scrolling through Instagram and Google, admiring picture-perfect Montessori playrooms and activities, dreaming of creating a similar enriching space for your child.

You might have read a few articles or even books, or maybe you're even a trained Montessorian.

Now, you're eager to apply all of this knowledge in your home, to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters your children's growth and development.

The problem is that connecting all of that theory to real practice in the home is a whole different ball game.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • You're enthusiastic about implementing Montessori at home, but the sheer volume of information out there is overwhelming. What you need is something concise, practical and easy to digest, perhaps while sipping your much-needed coffee or during that precious naptime.
  • The expense of Montessori schools or fancy toys feels prohibitive. You wish to bring Montessori to your home, but you're unsure how to do so without a big budget or ample space for a dedicated playroom.
  • Even though you've been giving your best shot at practicing Montessori at home, there have been bumps along the road. It's become clear that you need more guidance - not just another book or blog, but practical advice from real people who've walked in your shoes and can provide hands-on solutions.
  • You want to break away from the traditional ways of raising children that you witnessed during your own childhood or in society today. You crave the alternative that Montessori offers, celebrating your child's individuality, nurturing their curiosity, and providing an engaging, tailored learning experience.
  • Facing your child's tantrums or challenging behavior often leaves you overwhelmed. Your attempts at negotiation seem to lead to more frustration than progress, making you wish for a more effective way to communicate and foster harmony at home.
  • You're committed to the Montessori philosophy, but it feels like you're swimming against the tide when family members or friends don't understand or support this approach. This leaves you feeling isolated in your parenting journey and unsure how to maintain your consistency and confidence.
  • Sometimes, Montessori language feels like a whole new dictionary that leaves you scratching your head. You've been looking for a way to understand and use these ideas without getting lost in translation.
  • You see the unique potential in your child and you're looking for a way to nurture it. You believe your child can thrive with the right guidance and environment, and you want to be the one to provide it.

Trust me, you’re not alone!

There is a huge community of people feeling just like you.

What are the benefits of using Montessori at home?

If you’re here, you probably know at least a little about Montessori. But let us just take a moment to remind you of why you and your child will benefit from practicing Montessori in your home:

Independence

Your child learns how to dress themselves, prepare food, take care of their bodies, take care of their belongings, clean up by themselves…the list goes on…

Joy of Learning

By offering choices and freedom (within limits), your child takes control of their learning. They learn about what interests them and this autonomy creates a lifelong love of learning.

Social Skills

Lessons in Grace and Courtesy and a philosophy of respect between children and adults help your child to develop excellent social skills that will carry them through life.

Confidence

Working on what interests them and learning at their own pace means children constantly feel successful which boosts their confidence.

Social Justice

Because Montessori is based on being peaceful and accepting of others, children learn to be inclusive. The Montessori curriculum at school includes also learning about and understanding other cultures.

Life skills

Montessori children work collaboratively, think critically, and live independently. They are enthusiastic, confident, and self-directed in their learning.

I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to Charlotte and the Montessori Parenting team for this wonderful series of videos. Charlotte has a delightful and very mindful approach to education that has particularly resonated with me. I devoured her words as if I was reading a book (in fact I think she should write a book).

Your course has been a game-changer for our family. I can't thank Charlotte enough for her practical guidance and support. Maria S.
I have taken various courses on early childhood education and Montessori in the past, but it wasn't until I enrolled in your course that everything clicked. Charlotte has provided the missing piece I needed to effectively implement Montessori principles in our home. The course helped me gain confidence and provided tools to apply what I've learned in a meaningful way. This course is a true game-changer!
